Events

We plan to arrange Cycle Rides from time to time to publicise our organisation, to encourage people, especially young people, to get out on their bikes safely and to highlight the need for our safe cycling network.

Through these events we also hope to encourage more people to join up and support our campaign.

Our summer ride this year took place on Sunday 18 August  2023  About 20 of us met at Holbrook  village hall and cycled through Harkstead and Shotley to Shotley vinyard for coffee, cake and maybe a little wine. A sunny day fortunately and e-bikes, mountain bikes and road bikes were all used. Afterwards we all headed back to our different villages on the peninsula. A pleasant ride for all and about 16 miles in total. Enough though to justify refreshment at Shotley vinyard (open throughout the year Fridays to Sundays 10am to 2 pm)

 

Meetings

It is the aim of the SPCC to hold public meetings, at least once a year to inform our members and supporters about the progress of the campaign. There will also be an AGM each year, normally in June. The SPCC committee try to meet every month.

Membership

By joining the SPCC membership list you will be helping us to become a stronger voice. With numbers behind us we have a greater chance of pushing through positive changes to the travel infrastructure on the peninsula.
