EVENTS & MEETINGS

Events

We plan to arrange Cycle Rides from time to time to publicise our organisation, to encourage people, especially young people, to get out on their bikes safely and to highlight the need for our safe cycling network.

Through these events we also hope to encourage more people to join up and support our campaign.

Our postponed “Easter Fun Ride” in 2013 was rescheduled for Sunday 23rd June 2013, 2:30 p.m. starting at Freston Village Hall. It was a great success with at least 100 parents and children present on the day and the membership increasing by 50. The results of the Fun Ride (the number of pupils and parents who attended) show that Holbrook had the most riders followed by Shotley, Chelmondiston, Tattingstone, Stutton and Ipswich High School. We thank all of those who attended and hope you all had a safe and fun ride, we hope to see you all again (and more) at our next event.

Meetings

It is the aim of the SPCC to hold public meetings, at least once a year to inform our members and supporters about the progress of the campaign. There will also be an AGM each year, normally in June. The SPCC committee try to meet every month.
